With only the one mounting screw, it was wiggling on the dizzy. I drilled a small hole, threaded it (8/32) and added a second mounting screw. This cured the runs ok one day, runs like crap the next. Also, you may have a craked dizzy cap, look inside for a carbon trail from post to post or post to ground. How is the rotor?
