In the UK I once steam cleaned a tank and then braized (brass soldering?) the
tank.

I also once repaired a tank with special aviation petrol resistant compound
and watched it all bubble up the first time I filled the tank.

Are tanks really so expensive in the USA that you would repair one rather than
just buy another?
