Philip, If it is a non vented tank, you should have a vented cap. Kind of like trying to pour cas out of a can without opening the vent cap. Sounds like your pump was pulling against a vacum. If it will start with the cap off the tank, stuff a rag in the filler neck until you can find a vented cap. Just my 2 cents. Robert Houston  |
