Don't be fearful of replacing front shocks, if it's the same as on a '74
Midget that is. Don't tighten anything until all the bolts are started is
one rule, and I found that connecting the lever arm to the trunion fulcrum
pin FIRST was a must. I have also had to grind the relief on a new
trunion fulcrum pin because it would not capture the lever arm retaining
bolt as it should; but if you use the old one-no problem. Be sure to
install new rubber bushes at the trunion, and dip 'em in ATF for ease in
placement. Get used to doing this proceedure, because it seem from my
experience ( owned this car for three months, and have done procedure 3
times!!) and those of the list that your gonna do it again. Good luck.
