  A bunch of Richard Petty's early race cars were buried the same way!
  Reminds me of the group who located a flight of P-38's and B-17's
under the ice of Greenland.  Over a hundred(?) feet down.  They ended
up bringing back one P-38 and some other hard parts.  It's called a
"restoration", but they really just ended up with a full-size set of
plans.  EVERYTHING except the hard, steel parts had to be remade from
scratch.  Plane can be seen in Middlesboro KY.
