I did a total rebuild of the front suspension on my 72 during this last
summer, in the course of getting replacement A-arms I tried some "Good used"
items from British Miles and I learned the hard way that there are differences
in the early arms. They sent me one, it had no sway bar mounting holes and
more importantly it was missing all of the supports that were standard on
later models. If you look on the bottom of the arms there will be a brace that
not only adds support to the sway bar but adds bracing to the entire A-arm.
And by the way I would NOT suggest anyone purchase "Good used" A-arms from
British Miles, I had one hell of a time getting my money back after they were
unable to deliver what they promised.
