With out getting into fiberglass gel coats and all that which is my
brother's professional feild, You can either repaint the top with any
automotive finish, spray paint it with spray bombs, or recolor it with
Black Top (at least that's what it used to be called) made by Tutle Wax.
I use to use Black Top on all my black convertable tops many moons ago.
I have not seen it around but never really searched for the stuff.
If you have trouble locating it, try black shoe polish.
That along with a bit of spit will give the old hardtop that "spit
shine" we all like to see.

good luck
