Though I tend towards perfectionism, I'm not there. My fear was that if I
put it off, when will I get the time again? I'm putting it off. I
sprained (or pulled or ...?) my leg yesterday catching our run-away dog

There was/is a thick blanket of oil/dust in the bell housing, but
aparently not on the clutch. The clutch friction material was worn down to
about half the thickness of the new one, and if not for the grooves that
were already there, which prevented the friction pad from wearing flat at
the rivets, they would have been making contact.

I've been spraying and retrying, to no avail. I'll keep trying, but it's
not looking good. It's not under pressure while sitting in the wagon and
I've placed it back inside the engine compartment until it is time to put
the engine back in.
