Unfortunately it is the first gear on the laygear that gives up the ghost. At
least it was on my first Bugeye, many years ago.

I eed to Know about this. I Have a straight box with a mangled first
gear.Replacing first gear doesn't bother me, but I would love to not have to
replace my laygear.
