Thanks guys. When I put the first one in the cleaning tank it came loose
and seems to open and close freely. I think I'll clean the remaining JB
weld off and go with them the way they were intended. I don't think they
were sealed due to malfunction because both carbs had the same thing done,
it just looks like the PO thought it would help somehow. They are otherwise
in good shape.
