They fitted a downdraft Weber to the Fiat 500 I owned for happily no
more than a week. About the size of a packet of 10 cigarettes. Think I
prefer Solex or Zenith downdrafts, at least they would be true to
prototype - fitted to Heralds, Vyteezes and Vanguards - among others :)

When I first got my Mayflower years ago, a previous owner had fitted a
Fiat-Weber carburetor to the otherwise stock engine. Never did get it
to run that way, so I cobbled together a Solex from a Herald and
"forced" it to fit...and it worked great! :-)

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
