One thing I learned NOT to use is that degreaser in
the bottle with a purple spray handle (I forget the
brand name).

After a few days of using it to cut through the
disassembly gunk on my hands, my fingers became numb
and tingly!

All went back to normal a few days after discontinuing
use.
