As far as I am aware this is only a standard fitting on lefthand drive GT6s. 
Righthand drive cars have the driver and fuel tank on opposite sides to even up 
the weight distribution. Lefthand drive cars have the spacer to compensate for 
the weight offset on the lefthand side,
