There are very small LCD displays that cam read a variety of sensors
with either an on screen touch select or tiny buttons to select. I've
seen these setups available at car shows, particularly those that have
kids in attendence. Between the clear tail lights and lighted gearshift
knobs, I've found these units.
They are small enough to be carefully tucked into the ashtray I
suspect. Flip the ash tray up to admire the display, flip it down to
hide it.
