Top installation

I have a new top for my '69 Spitfire, but it didn't come with any instructions. 
 It came with the snaps pre-installed, and those are in the right places.  How 
does the front of the top attach to the front bar of the top frame?  I have 
duct-tape now but I don't think that this would work whilst driving at speed<g>
