starter question

I'm sure I already know the answer but...

The starter in my 66 died.  I have another used starter on the shelf.

The 66 starter has 9 teeth

The other starter has 10 teeth.

Can I put the 10 teeth starter in my '66 1147?

If not, how hard is it to change those gears?
