What does a new pump cost? How much is your time worth to do the job
2 times? Finally, how much is it worth to you to be stuck on the side of
the road someplace and have to have a wrecker tow you home?
In otherwords, yes, you may get the pump working again. But are you going
to replace the bearing? What about the packing around the shaft? Keeping
the old pump is just asking for it to drop you.
In my book, the cost of a new pump is well worth the alternative.
