About eight years ago when the body work was done on the Spit I had the paint
shop strip the hardtop of the liner and all the seals, glass, etc. and apply
several coats of paint to the hardtop. The hardtop has been stored in that
condition since.
I am now embarking on putting the hardtop for the 72 Spit back together. Does
anyone have a website with a set of procedures for doing this. I can charge
blindly ahead but over the years I have come to realize that I can really
benefit from the experience of others.
Also, is my memory correct that the rubber gaskets for the side windows are
not available. I can make do with my old ones but I would rather replace them
if I can.
