YIPPIE!!!!
Finally, I just passed the local smog test for my Spit. Allowed 220 PPM
hydrocarbons, it came in at 7. Allowed 1.0% for carbon monoxide, it came
it at 0.54%.
My sincere THANKS to everyone who helped. There are so many, any attempt
to name them all would greatly increase this e-mail, and then you can
rest assured I would miss someone. However, there are two people who I
owe the most thanks to, John Weber and Reid Simmons, both in the
Portland, OR area. They put up with all my stupid questions, over and
over and over. John even came by and helped tweak it all.
In case your interested, to finally pass, it did have to go to a mechanic
for 'final' tweaking. We were adjusting the same things as the mechanic
did, but we never could get it right. He simply hooked up his machine,
and THREE minutes later was done!!!!!
Also, in case your interested, he only charged me $10.00.
