Sophie had exactly the same blockage , it didn't end up in a burst, but caused a
constant leak from the top of the pipe.
As to the brown gunk, mine also appeared after a cooling system cleaning session
and also a 3 year restoration layup!
I wonder weather this hose collapses internally when it get old and acts as a
constriction that collects all the crap in the system?
