How much should I tell the shop to mill off?
When I first read my copy of the 1500 Competition Preperation manual, I
laughed out loud when I read the opening sentence of the chapter on the
cylinder head. It said something like 'Remove 0.220" from the surface of
the head.' Yep, they recommended taking off nearly a quarter of an inch!
Too bad I can't do that on the Street Prepared autocross car. Now, the
red road racer, on the other hand....
