Can the U-joint carrier be removed from the rear axle? The inboard end of the axle is splined and there is a hole that looks to be for a holding pin. It looks like you could drive the pin out, slide the u-joint off the splines of the axle and then just replace the u-joint on the bench. I would like to avoid taking the entire axle, upright, suspension, brake, unit off for this. Thanks, Steve Matson smatson802@aol.com  |
