Not sure what a waxjet is.  If you mean CapStat jets,  they look very
different from the standard SU jet.  Kinda bulky, with a copper plate on the
bottom.  AFAIK,  they were designed for emmissions reasons.  They're
expensive to replace.  But it doesn't really make a difference to you which
ones you use.  I have them on my '78 Midget and have no issues.  

Also,  if you have a set of Euro HS4s, you should check the throttle shafts
for wear.  The euro models (at least the ones I have) have very strong
return springs that are not shield mounted, but rather circular springs on
the linkage of the carb body itself.  They wear down the throttle shafts
rather quickly as they have significant side pressure.
