Hello all,
Some of you who follow eBay may have seen a Spit 1500 hardtop that's was
recently offered. The owner started the bidding at $500 with a 'reserve
not met'. Since the bidding closed, as one would expect, with no bids,
I have contacted the seller because he happens to live in Massachusetts
as well.
My question is what is a resonable offer to make to this person? To

I have spoken with him on the phone and his description of the top is
basically it needs work. The headliner is trashed, it's missing
connecting parts, the weather stripping needs to be replaced and it has
a couple of small dings. Did these units have real glass or
plexi-glass windows?
Any help with right pricing this item would be greatly appreciated. I
don't want to insult the guy but I also don't want to overpay as well.
