I understand the best way is to cut the seal from the outside, pop out the
glass, then pull out the remainder of the seal. Having just bought one, I
understand why you'd like to avoid buying it twice, though!
I have a question, though. I have my "new" windshield, and new gasket. I
also have the correct trim pieces. How is the chrome trim installed? I have
not put the new glass on the car, so is it:
- Trim on rubber, rubber on glass, glass in car
- Rubber on glass, trim on rubber, glass in car
- Rubber on glass, glass in car, install trim last?
PLEASE! any tips regarding the trim will be greatly appreciated.

Howdy all y'all-
I've got a replacement windshield for the cracked one currently in the car.
I'd got a replacement gasket but would like to salvage the one on the car to
use on my hardtop since it's only a few months old and in good condition.
Our motto in the construction industry is to "get a bigger hammer". <-grin->
However, I don't want to have to worry with the glass chips. Is there a
better way of getting the windshield out without destroying the rubber and
glass?
