i had a similar experiencce a while back. i was having a problem
with my starter solinoid, and i was stranded at a gas station getting
a jump from a jeep. as i turned around, a guy pulled up in his
limited edition British racing green miata with tan 'tahn-no' cover
just to tell me about how he used to race a mk3 spitfire in the 70's.
i remember himi saying he really enjoyed throwing it into four wheel
drifts around the corners.
