Chrome on a '79 Spit

OK, I am rebuilding my '79 spit and have come to the question of would it
look better to have the chrome mirrors (stock style) and chrome license
plate lamps or should I stick with the standard flat black.  The car is or
at least will be British Racing Green.  Has anyone ever seen this before,
how would placing a little bit of this chrome look on a BRG car with black
bumpers?
