My $.02 worth. The name Spitfire was used for the car because it recalls the famous aircraft of W.W.II. There always was and will be an association with the airplane (including the racing floatplanes that it was developed from). I think a combination car aircraft logo is in keeping with the Triumph Spitfire tradition. |
