Spit Stickers

Spitlisters,

Just finished painting the underside of the bonnet. There is an engine
emissions sticker there, I very carefully taped the sticker, only to have
pieces rip off when the tape was removed. Now the choice is to get a new
sticker or remove the rest of the sticker, sand it down, and repaint. The
sticker sounds like the best idea. Any ideas where such a sticker can be
found ? It's for a '72 Spit.
