Consider the source.  Just because the editors of that rag can't properly
handle an automobile doesn't mean that no one else can either.  I have found
the handling of the Spitfire to be superior to almost every other 'stock'
car I've driven.  Of course I haven't driven every type of car ever made...
yet. :)

by Hemmings as best values in overlooked collector cars, along with Car 
Craft's commentary on the cars.
Number ten on the list, 62-67 Triumph Spitfire Mark I and Mark II.
Commentary reads as follows:
"Nasty handling when they were new, they've got to be downright scary now.  
Give one to the relative you want to see wrapped around a telephone pole."
Don't flame me, I'm just the messenger.  They also take a shot at BMW 2002's
and Sprites!
