Mike, The fact that you can feel the brakes dragging the engine, while at a full stop with the clutch in, suggests your clutch is dragging. Most likely cause is excess play in the linkage. What kind of linkage does a M****t use anyway, hydraulic or rods'n'cables? If it's mechanical, there might be an adjuster somewhere. PO most likely did install a new clutch, as dragging wll increase with the thicker, new clutch disc than a thin worn out old one. Bill Kelly  |
