Hello all. I was just thinking about this one day - regarding all the talk about engine swaps a couple of months ago. Had anyone considered replacing the engine and tranny with some light pick-up truck powerplants? Seems to me, this is the most common rear-wheel drive config these days. I remember test-driving a 154 horsepower 4-cylinder Nissan PU truck in 1991 or so that was extremely peppy. Seems like there'd be lots of rusted away trucks with good engines around, no? Any thoughts? -John |
