Yeah, that's the key thing. I (finally!!) got through my thick head a few
years back that it's not "if" you get caught, it's "when" you get caught. I
must admit that every speeding ticket that I have gotten over the last 20
years is when I wasn't paying attention.

Luckily, traffic on the Interstates around here will move at 80-85 most
times (just like Atlanta & Boston, which is why I like driving in those
cities). I have gotten to the point where most of my driving will be "with
the flow", as it's less stressful. There are occasionally times that I haul
at 90-100 but I'm alert and watching the whole time.

Hell, my car sees 100+ at least three times a week, and I'm an 'old fart'
next to you!  :)

You just have to pick your 'battles'. Since my home commute is all
interstate, there are plenty of places to stretch her legs. Of course, when
traffic flow is averaging 75-80, hitting 100 is NBD.
