Other posts have brought up the "channel" issue.
FWIW, I have started discussions with a few folks about a caravan on Sunday
from Chicago down I-57 to I-55.

I have 3 different pairs.
The lower channels are mostly the same, but the upper channels are
different. Something like you need to use 15 on one pair to talk
to another pair on 12. The newest ones have higher channels that
don't work with any of the others.
Why not just go to a lower channel that works with all?
BTW) Is there going to be a caravan to the convention?
