i did mine on my front street,in town with a floor jack and hand tools with 
an electric impact gun to get the old rusted clamps off.now they say without 
a rod shifter it doesn't fit as well?that i don't know cause i have a plus 
with a rod shifter so mine fit nicely.i also used ati-seize on all my joints 
so when a part does go bad i won't have as hard a time to take it apart.BOB
