Just an aside, all these =E2=80=9Cdigital=E2=80=9D antennas on the market ar=
e pretty much UHF antennas since they operate in the old UHF band. The VHF b=
and has gone away for TV use but tho old UHF/VHF antennas should work. Basic=
ally what I=E2=80=99m saying is that if you have an older UHF/VHF antenna up=
, just because it doesn=E2=80=99t say digital, it should work fine. All ante=
nnas decrease signal strength as they age, the insulators get leaky & the el=
ements corrode which can decrease their ability to receive.=20

In addition to what others said, antennaeb.org will tell you bearing and dis=
tance to the stations you=E2=80=99re interested in, and a rough idea of what=
kind of antenna you need for each. Depending on where you are, you may need=
an tenna you can rotate, but getting it high enough might work.=20
I put a directional antenna in my attic. It=E2=80=99s pointing at the distan=
t station antenna tower, the closer stuff is powerful enough that it=E2=80=99=
s still got good reception.=20
