For example, in my area, we aren't allowed to have wooden roofs unless they are treated with fire retardant. But as noted, with reasonable precautions (mostly decent ventilation and distance from ignition sources), mineral spirits are reasonably safe. Safer than gasoline anyway, which I've frequently used. -- Randall |
