Well, I don't feel so bad any more. I have one, and every time I try to
use it it makes me feel like an idiot. I have almost thrown it away
more than once.
One suggestion: try using it to read some "known" angles, both inside
and outside, and see what it indicates. (Drafting triangles, your table
saw miter gauge, etc.) Then go from there.
Other than that, I'm not going to be much help today.
