I live in a 100 year old house that has hot water radiator heat. The pipes
were originally insulated with asbestos, but this was removed by a previous
owner. The basement is pretty cold and I would like to re-insulate the hot
water pipes, most of which are 2 1/2". Lowes and Home Depot don't carry
pre-formed pipe insulation this large, and wrapping them individually with
pipe wrap would be time consuming and expensive. Does anyone know if there is
a readily available source for foam insulation this large, or an inexpensive
alternative?
Thanks!
Jim
