RE: concrete floor cleaning?

Muriatic acid is the 'typical' prep solution for concrete when you are
planning to put anything over/on it.  It is available at your local
hardware/big box store.  It will etch the surface, which of course removes
some of the surface, and I'm guessing some of the smell????
