Can anyone think of a valid reason for even considering 3/4 ply?

I considered and rejected 1/2" - used 3/8" instead and never regretted it.

I also used slotted angle instead of the much heavier angle iron - and put
wheels on the back only - could move wherever I wanted - out of the way -
out of the garage - etc.

Other opinions?
