I use homemade 3x5' tables with shelving A friend of mine uses belt-buckle-height steel-topped tables for engine assembly instead of engine stands. He'll put the crank in a big block Chevy, stand it on end, and complete the short block with the engine in that position, then he'll lay it down and install the heads. Damnedest thing I ever saw, but it works for him. |
