One of the best sources for cheap tool chest is the used office equipment auctions like the State of Michigan has. You can pick up old IBM card files (remember them) in excellent shape for $ 30 - $40. Build a ply wood base with steel castor wheels, cut pieces of posterboard to put in the bottom of each drawer(since there is a strip down the middle that is open) and you have a really big tool chest for less than $75, depending on how good the caster were you bought. |
