Some safety remarks:

Always turn the bottles off, blow down the hoses and then back the regulators
off as part of your shut down proceedure.  It is not a common happening, but
the regulators can blow the adjusting screws out.

If your bottles are the newer type with hand wheels on the top of the
acetylene,  you should leave the valve fully open.  The stem seal is only in
contact when the valve is fully open or closed.  Leaving it set partially can
leak.  The, older, lever style acetlyene bottles are packed and we've always
opened them about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn.

As for pressures, my Victor book recommends (#1 tip) 30/35 oxygen, 3/5
acetylene.

Be careful.  A little acetylene gas in somplace you don't want it is quite
explosive.
