Smokey,

There is a pin/switch on the starter that puts 12 volts on the coil =
while the starter is engaged. When you let off the mechanical starter =
the voltage to the coil goes through the resistor on the firewall (maybe =
9 or 10 volts). Maybe this is the issue somehow. You can out a jumper =
from the +batter to the coil to see if it runs that way.=20

Hey guys, on my 235, I just replaced the starter and for some reason I =
get no fire to start the engine.  There is a 2 post terminal on the =
firewall with one wire to the starter and one is not connected to =
anything.  Could the loose wire be a factor?
