I purchased both the front cross member and the transmission mount from CPP.
I think the front cast $35 and the back was about the same. They had the
same style and used the same steel (if that matters to you). Both are
universal kits, so you will need to cut them slightly for our frame rails,
and then weld. Both are designed to be bolted to the frame, but I welded
mine in place.
Best of luck,
Jim

A front crossmember can be bought cheaper than you can make one and they
pretty much drop in. The rear of the transmission can usually be supported
with a piece of 3" channel bolted to the bottom flanges of the frame.

Hey All,
I am dropping a 350SB hooked to a Saginaw 4spd in my 54 Chevy 3100. Anybody
out there done this? What trans and motor mount did you use.
How did you clear the steering box?
