Don't know if you got an answer about the trim on a 57. The fender spears 
were insignia red in the depressed area and the hood was insignia red with the 
vertical bars showing in the chrome and a dull black bowtie. If it was a 
factory 
V8 the V was also chrome. Hope this helps.
