Oxidation of aluminum sure is a pain in the butt--that's the main reason I
got rid of my polished aluminum wheels. They look great when freshly
cleaned or polished with products designed to remove minor oxidation, but
don't take long for them to look dull-i mean a couple weeks. I know a lot
of folks who get the stuff polished up and clear coat them, as my new
wheels are clear coated polished aluminum which requires minimal
maintenance. Did a quick search on products and found this

Never used the product but may help with your search. I have an aluminum
intake although not polished and looks great after 6-8 years or so. I clean
it up when detailing my engine compartment. Some of the info may help..
