I always check for mud on the inside of the wheels when I get a vibration,
about 99% of the time I've thrown off my wheel balance that way.

is the vibration constant over 55 or does it go away when you let off the
gas? could be a bad u-joint or out of balance drive shaft

Hey everyone,

I'm getting a shake and shimmy when I reach speeds of over 55 mph. It's
really
weird the steering wheel is straight, firm and does not shake or wobble but
the body vibrates. The truck rides perfect under the 55 speed. The IFS has
brand new C20 shocks and was aligned well within the C20 specs but I did not
re-furbish the control arms or springs. I'm thinking wheel balancing but
maybe
it's something else. I've never experienced the contradiction between a firm
steering wheel and a vibration over certain speeds. Usually the steering
wheel
vibrates as well. Any ideas????
