Front or rear?
The front is (for me) pretty straight forward. I adapted the AD frame to
accept the stock Jag crossmember rubber mounts. I made 4 adapter assemblies
for each corner and used stock Jag mounts. The adapters are bolt on. The jag
crossmember contains everything L & R a-arms w/ vented disc brakes and power
rack and pinion steering. Kits are available to put SBC's into XJ6's and the
engine mounts are on the crossmember. It simplifies everything. I'm running
a big block Buick Nailhead and have lots of room as the crossmember is a
horseshoe shape so its forward loaded (mostly in front of the motor). It
lowers the truck about 4 inches without altering any suspension. The Jag
rotors are GM 4 > x 5 bolt pattern.
For the rear I made a crossmember to replace the stock Jag cage, and built
two drag struts to support the swing arm assemblies. The crossmember and
struts do not use stock Jag mounts but does utilize rubber (urethane)
isolator mounts so the truck will ride and feel like a sports car.
